Oscar Nominations 2026: The Full List of Nominees

The wait is over. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced the nominations for the 98th Academy Awards on Thursday, January 22, 2026. This year made history before the ceremony even began.

Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” received 16 nominations. That breaks the all-time record. The previous mark of 14 was shared by “All About Eve” (1950), “Titanic” (1997) and “La La Land” (2016). Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” followed with 13 nominations.

The ceremony takes place on Sunday, March 15, 2026, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood. Conan O’Brien returns as host for his second consecutive year. ABC broadcasts the show live at 7:00 PM Eastern Time. Hulu streams it simultaneously.

This year also marks a historic addition. The Academy introduced the Best Casting award, the first new category since Best Animated Feature debuted in 2001.
